There is something about the character of Queen Street West and its vibe, which leaves you inspired. It’s no wonder Vogue named Queen Street West as one of the world's hippest , second only to Tokyo’s Shimokitazawa. 

 

Queen West is a widely sought after neighborhood, largely because of its one-of-kind stores, restaurants, and close proximity to downtown Toronto. This cosmopolitan neighborhood is also known for being very friendly towards non-car commuters as it contains numerous bike paths, many walking paths, and a dedicated line. 

 

The median sales price for residential homes in Queen West over the last twelve months is $1.2 million. Generally, Queen West features townhouses which account for 29% of residential home sales in the neighborhood, followed by semi-detached houses which account for 24% of sales, and lastly condo townhouses which account for 19% of sales. Hard loft spaces are also becoming common in Queen West. 

 

Queen West mixes hip-culture with rustic charm. Even though rent and home prices have been rising, residents of all income levels walk the streets and shop in the same places, leaving a strong feeling of community. With many galleries in the , creative minds are becoming increasingly attracted to settling down in this neighborhood. 

 

Additionally, Queen West residents also frequent the neighborhood’s many yoga studios, bike shops, bookstores, gyms, spas, and some of the best restaurants Toronto has to offer. On top of all that(!), Ossington Street, which has taken on a life of its own in terms of trendiest streets, has become renowned for containing some of the coolest local clothing designer stores, the hottest footwear brands, and trendiest handbags and accessories items. 

 

 

Trinity-Bellwoods Park is considered one of the hippest parks in Toronto - conveniently located within Queen West. Residence activities all year round, from movie nights in the park, a farmers market, pumpkin parade, and skating in the winter. During the summer the park is bustling with Torontonians having picnics, playing live music, and playing recreational sports. 

 

Nestled within Trinity Bellwoods Park is Trinity Community Recreation Centre, which offers a variety of activity programs for all ages. The new gym has approximately 5000 square feet of space, hosting many community events. The offers a variety of programs to preschool, school age, youth adults.

 

The streets of this neighborhood are filled with many restaurants, cafes, and bars, it’s impossible to list them all! If you’re interested in some Italian food, head over to Terroni; looking for authentic Persian food, Banu is the place; in the mood for a healthy brunch, be sure to stop at Hello 123; craving some delicious pizza, Superpoint takes pizza to a soaring new heights; how about some authentic South or Southeast Asian cuisine, Rickshaw has you covered; or just want to indulge in some Greek food, Mamakas Taverna serves some of the city’s best Greek food with a modern twist.

You can head over to one of the many bars on Ossington Street, or for some creative cocktails stop by Barcef. If you’re in the mood for dancing, Wayward or Cube are some of the hottest spots in the area. 

 

And if that isn’t enough, the King Street West neighborhood is just located to the south and has an abundance of nightclubs.
